Background
Seunghun Lee brings architectural experience shaped by both academic and professional practice. His academic work explored a variety of building types—including mixed-use, residential, and public spaces—with a thesis focused on how architecture can communicate symbolic and conceptual ideas.
Professionally, Mr. Lee has contributed to residential, tenant improvement (T.I.), commercial, and mixed-use projects. Prior to joining Forensix Design, he worked at a Los Angeles architecture firm, participating in all phases of the design process—from code research and drafting to site documentation and coordination with city agencies.
Since joining Forensix, Mr. Lee has been expanding his technical skills and deepening his understanding of forensic architectural practices. He is particularly interested in how clear visual communication and careful attention to detail support effective evaluations and meaningful design solutions.
What is your most interesting project or accomplishment?
One of my most interesting experiences was a graduate school team project that integrated an active railway, a public park, and an existing water tank into a mixed-use development. I was responsible for designing various public and private spaces and leading the noise mitigation strategy. It was a challenging but rewarding project that taught me the value of spatial balance and thoughtful integration.
What do you love about your job?
I love seeing ideas come to life—taking a concept from sketches and models to something that impacts real people and places. I also enjoy collaborating with others and learning through every stage of the design process.
Why did you follow your career path?
I’ve always been drawn to how the built environment shapes the way people live, interact, and feel. During school, I became fascinated by the balance between functionality and aesthetics—how architecture can solve problems while also creating beauty. That interest naturally evolved into a desire to work on projects that are meaningful to communities, whether residential, public, or cultural. Architecture felt like the perfect combination of creativity, technical skill, and purpose.
What are your interests outside of work?
I enjoy cooking—it has deepened my appreciation for culinary craftsmanship and remains an important part of my life, especially when preparing meals for family and friends.
Who or what motivates you?
I’m motivated by the pursuit of continual growth—not only as a technician, but also as a teammate, friend, and future architect. My faith, family, and the communities I hope to serve through design inspire me to keep learning and contributing in meaningful ways.
Who or what do you love to work with?
I enjoy working with people who are collaborative and open-minded—those who balance creativity with practicality. I thrive in teams that value mutual respect, curiosity, and humility. I feel fortunate to be part of the Forensix team.
