What is your most interesting project or accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment is when I was asked to speak on a panel at a Future Women in Construction event. Helping other women feel empowered to take on STEM careers has always been very important to me. I look forward to more opportunities to connect with women in the industry!
What do you love about your job?
I love that no day is the same. There is a variety of field work and office work, so there is always something new to learn.
Why did you follow your career path?
If I were to take my favorite things about all my previous jobs and combine them into one, you would get Forensic Engineering! When I discovered this career and how it was a combination of engineering, law, onsite inspections and client connections, I knew it was a great fit.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, even if that means making the occasional trip back to Nebraska where I am from. I also like to stay active – whether that includes playing sports or going on a run.
Who or what motivates you?
I’m naturally very competitive with myself and hold my work to a high standard. Doing things with care and integrity is something I always strive for.
Who or what do you love to work with?
I love to work with people who have a good sense of humor – life is too short to take everything seriously.
